Hildegard Schneider has become a member of the Dutch UNESCO committee
Minister van Engelshoven (OCW) has appointed Hildegard Schneider and Marlon Titre as members of the Dutch Unesco Commission effective September 1, 2021. The appointment is for a period of four years, with a possibility of renewal.
Em. prof. dr. Hildegard Schneider is professor of European Law and a specialist in the field of European migration law. Until Nov. 2017, she was dean of the Faculty of Law at Maastricht University for many years. In addition to a legal background, she also has an art history background. Schneider: "I am very happy and also honoured with my appointment. Hopefully, with my experience in the areas of research and education, cultural heritage protection, migration and human rights, I can contribute to the important work of the UNESCO Commission. I also look forward to working with colleagues."
