Mertens Bouwbedrijf in Weert was chosen to execute the first phase in the redevelopment of the Tapijnkazerne in Maastricht. Following a short tender procedure, Maastricht University (UM) decided Tuesday to award the contract to Mertens Bouwbedrijf BV.

The Universities of Maastricht and York have agreed a major partnership in which they will establish joint research projects, teaching collaborations, knowledge exchange, student exchanges and sharing best practice among their staff.
